Every year, millions of plastic bags and single-use items move through Orlando International Airport. That waste does not disappear when travelers leave the terminal — it affects local ecosystems, waterways, tourism, and the communities that call Central Florida home.
Green Guru Project is asking MCO to adopt stronger sustainability practices and reduce avoidable single-use plastic waste. Airports are gateways to cities, and they should model the environmental values of the communities they serve.
Our petition is a student-led call for practical changes: better reuse systems, clearer recycling, less plastic distribution, and more transparent sustainability goals.
